WE'RE NOT DEAD YET
We’re not dead yet is a large scale group exhibition and symposium event exploring domesticity, women, and age, focusing on six emerging women artists over the age of fifty. Discussing the marginalisation and challenges facing older women as early career artists, the project examines a gap in the dialogue around inter-generational exchange and the shared experiences of women in an art context.
Curated by Anna Louise Richardson We’re not dead yet is an invitation to explore gender and age dynamics within the familiar environs of the home, as Megan Christie, Lyn Nixon, Karen Millar, Lisa Dymond, Monique Bosshard Curby and Daveena Cox discuss themes of domesticity, the environment, intimacy and feminism.
